Southforward.com – Dozens of people are reported to have been injured by children and women in an air strike in Idlib province.
Reporting from Anadolu, Monday (09/10/2018), the attack was an air strike by the Syrian Government assisted by Russia.
The same thing was also conveyed by the head of Wite Helmets in Idlib, Mustafa Haj Yusuf in a statement to the media.
“Most of the injured are women and children,” he said.
Haj said Russian fighter jets took off from the Hmeymim air base in the southeastern province of Latakia and attacked areas controlled by the opposition on Idlib and also Hama.
According to the White Helmets, at least 29 civilians have been killed and dozens of people injured in attacks carried out by Syrian regime forces and Russian fighter jets on Idlib and Hama since the beginning of this month.
Meanwhile, before the UN Human Rights Council expressed concern over ongoing military operations and their impact on millions of civilians in Idlib Province.
Speaking at the 39th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, UN Human Rights Council High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet called on all parties to stick to international law, especially humanitarian punishment when carrying out operations in Idlib.
There has been no official statement from the Syrian Government or from Russia for the attack.
