Southforward.com – An employee working at an airline stole an airplane and eventually committed suicide by dropping the plane into the Sea.
According to reports, he took off without permission from the Seattle-Tacoma airport. As a result of this incident, the Seattle-Tacoma airport was closed.
Reporting from the AFP on Saturday (08/08/2018), This was revealed by one of the officials in the airport on his personal Twitter today.
“An airline employee took off without permission with a passenger plane at the main airport in the northwestern state of Washington,” the official said.
Two F-15 jets immediately flew to intercept the plane. However, then the perpetrator of the theft dropped the plane into the sea.
“The plane crashed on Puget Sound south,” Sea-Tac Airport said, adding that normal operations at the airport had continued after a break.
The local security authorities quickly ruled out terrorism as a motive for the incident. They also said the F-15 was not involved in the fall.
“This is not a terrorist incident. The information confirmed is a man who committed suicide. We know who he is. No one else is involved,” Sheriff Pierce County said.
The suspect was identified as a 29-year-old Pierce county resident acting alone, the sheriff’s office added, confirming that there were no passengers on the plane when it crashed.
