Southforward.com – The Russians are reportedly increasing their vigilance after NATO member states agreed to increase its defense budget.

Quoted from Sputnik, Monday (16/7/2018), This was delivered by the Kremlin Spokesman, Dmitry Peskov in a press statement.

Peskov said, NATO is an organization formed to fight Russia. Therefore, Peskov went on, the NATO budget increase is tantamount to an increased threat to Russia.

“NATO is an instrument of confrontation, which was created and developed for the confrontation and the initial goal of this alliance remains in force,” said Peskov.

He also added that NATO has been open to seeing Russia as a potential threat by raising its membership.

“That’s why when the alliance, which openly regards Russia as a potential enemy, raises its budget, this shows that Russia must remain vigilant, and Russia will remain vigilant,” he continued.

As is known, NATO member states have agreed to increase defense spending to two percent.

This budget increase was agreed after US President Donald Trump reportedly threatened all NATO members.
