Southforward.com – The Pentagon accused China of spying on a massive military exercise led by the United States (US) off the coast of Hawaii.
Quoted from CNN, Saturday (14/07/2018), This was conveyed by the US Navy Captain, Charles Brown in a statement.
He said if the United States had monitored Chinese naval spy vessels around Hawaii.
“The US Pacific Fleet has monitored Chinese naval spy vessels operating around Hawaii outside the US territorial sea,” he said.
He also said that the United States hoped the vessel would remain outside the US territorial sea and not interfere with the ongoing Pacific military exercises.
“We hope this ship will remain outside the US territorial sea and not operate in a way that interferes with the ongoing maritime shipping of the Pacific maritime,” he added.
China was not invited from the drill, known as RIMPAC, in May for what the Pentagon called the continued militarization of disputed features in the South China Sea, including the deployment of anti-ship missiles, surface-to-air missile systems and electronic jammers.
