Southforward.com – Turkey has reportedly agreed to sell 30 units of military helicopters to Pakistan. Its value is estimated to reach USD 1.5 billion.
Quoted from Anadolu, Friday (13/07/2018), the Turkish Defense Ministry said, This sale is the largest helicopter sales by Turkey.
The sale deal of 30 military helicopters was signed by Turkish Aerospace Industries with Pakistan’s Defense Production Ministry.
Under the helicopter sale agreement, it also includes the provision of logistics, spare parts, training, ammunition by Turkey.
Turkey has been a supplier of military equipment to Pakistan since September last year after the United States (US) to withhold their military aid.
Before approving the sale of military helicopters to Pakistan, Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli said Ankara would sell 4 corvette-type warships with a length of 99.5 meters to the Pakistani Navy.
