Reported from Reuters on Thursday (12/7/2018), this meeting was reported to discuss the cooperation of both countries while discussing the current situation in Syria.
During the meeting, the Israeli prime minister told how his country was blowing up a Syrian Drone on the Border.
He said Unmanned Aircraft entered from the Syrian border into Israel. And the plane was successfully shot down by the Israeli military.
He insisted that, Israel would prevent any attempts of violations at its border.
“An unmanned drone from the Syrian border penetrated the territory of Israel a few hours ago and the plane was shot down, I want to show that we will prevent any attempt to violate our water or land borders,” Netanyahu said.
He said the shooting was the second time his country shot a drone across the border in the past three weeks. Tensions began to rise on the border as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces pressed Israel.
Israeli army spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus said earlier drones had also crossed Jordan. It appears that the drone was unarmed and designed for surveillance, the drone crashed near the Sea of Galilee in the foothills of the Golan Heights.
