Southforward.com – United States (US) called that the presence of Iran can disrupt peace efforts in Syria.
Reported by Al Arabiya, Monday (9/7/2018), it was delivered by the Commander of special operations for the coalition forces led by the United States (US) in Syria, James Jarrard.
He said if Iran’s activities in Syria did nothing to help normalize the situation in the region.
“Iran’s ongoing activities in Syria do not help in normalizing the situation in the war-torn country,” Jarrard said.
He then declared, international troops will remain in Syria until the political process has been recognized in the country to build peace and security.
The senior US military officer then touched on the role of the Syrian Liberation Army (SDF), the military wing of the Syrian opposition group. He said the SDF had a huge role in helping to free Syria from ISIS and other terrorist groups.
The US is incessantly condemning Iran’s presence in the Syrian region as a real threat to peace in the region.
