Southforward.com – Turkey through Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said it would respond to any US sanctions on the purchase of the S-400 from Russia.
Quoted from Sputnik, Friday (6/7/2018), it was delivered by Cavusoglu in a press statement when asked reporters.
As is known, Turkey has menyepakai purchase of S-400 air defense system from Russia. Because of this purchase, the US threatened to impose sanctions on the country.
He also said the US would see Turkey’s answer to the sanctions given because of the S-400 purchase process.
“They say if we buy S-400, then they will impose sanctions If you (US) impose sanctions, you will see our answer If you want that kind of relationship then this is your choice,” said Cavusoglu.
He also added that the US response to the purchase of the S-400 by imposing unacceptable sanctions.
“We see that the US and the Russian Federation have a problem: the US decided sanctions for interference in elections If I have a bad relationship with someone, will I call and tell everyone, not to be friends with him,” he said.
He also considered the sanctions unreasonable. He underlined, the relationship between the two countries will not proceed with this approach.
“Does this make sense? Therefore, we do not accept this.We buy S-400, and do you impose sanctions on us for this? The relationship will not proceed with this approach.If there are sanctions, we will reply,” he concluded .
